Skin Find

I’m using the most amazing serum ever invented…I am not even joking. The formula was engineered to repair the DNA that damages the skin called AC-11. If that DNA is repaired, it reacts like a chain and repairs the rest. Scars are improved, skin texture etc. I’ve used it for just one day and I see a different. I was skeptical as usual, but I’m really blown away. The only problem, it costs a fortune to produce. Skin care is not cheap to make. This is why some products are expensive because the ingredients are so complex. When you work in the skin care industry that deals with cell base repair, you cannot just use water and aloe and call it a day. Majority of the time it’s packaging yes, but when they’re no advertising or marketing expenses, you are ultimately paying for the real deal. Rule of thumb, if you’ve never heard of it and it is expensive, it’s because it works. I will keep you all updated on this amazing find. I am still touching my face…holy moly.

    Hey Michelle,
Since you mentioned IQQU.. I was wondering what happened to those review videos you promised on your IQQU Advance Suncreen a long while back, where you sent samples out for people to test in different climates all over the world? You sent out several bottles and only one video got back :[

I would love if you did a “How to Walk in Heels” video! It sounds weird, but I’m only 5′ 2″ and I would like to start wearing heels, the only problem is I feel awkward walking in them. I also see you wearing a lot of heels in the pictures you post, so I’m guessing you’re pretty familiar with them. ;)

  17. Scientist says:
    November 16, 2009 at 12:34 am

    Michelle,

If you want to sell your product you need to be more informed about the science behind your product. The modern consumers know a lot more than you think and so you need to recognize this and be careful about the kind of things you say. As you can see from the many comments posted in response to your message that ” you cannot fix DNA with topical cream.”

Also, higher price sometimes is not equivalent to better quality. I remember attending a talk by Peter Agre (a Nobel laureate who solved the structure of aquaporin, a water channel) where he said that Christian Dior’s company capitalized on his discovery to market their new skin care product indicating that the “aquaporin technology.” is the secret. Agre said that he has no idea how his work on the aquaporin could help the skin. It just goes to show that quality sometimes does come with higher price, in this case it’s probably just the name “Dior” that help sells the product.

Ac-11 is known to aid the production and regulation of collagen III. Cat’s claw plant (Ac-11) is well-known to be used to make drugs for cancer treatment or HIV because of its high anti-inflammatory. Basically it’s used to be promoted for some kind of “health supplements”. But well, as a final year bioengineering student, and as what my professors talk to us, I never believe in advertisement of “health supplement” ’cause it’s the way people just want to dig gold out of you…

But Michelle got some the right points. Skin’s collagen is mostly type I and type III. But type III is usually in at the early stages of wound repair, which is then replaced later by the type stronger and tougher type I collagen. So Ac-11 which helps to regulate and produce collagen III could make the skin better but should only work in the early scar. But I don’t think it can repair your DNA’s skin just by applying on the skin. Then, it would be a new Nobel prize for people who discovered it and it would be a new breakthrough in tissue engineering for wound healing.
Lancome also got some kind of the cream that they claim : repair your DNA. It’s Genifique I think. But I think it’s just a name that they use to boost their products… Saying helping regulation of cell cycle I might believe in more…

    Just my 2 cents..

By the way, I’m looking forward to your new eye shadows. I believe you can make great eye shadows….

Just remember folks (kids), Michelle is an ART MAJOR.
    Not a dermatologist.

Grow up and think for yourself. Her make-up is great. Her skin is amazing! and her face is pretty. BUT still be skeptical. Don’t bite until you’re 100% sure of anything.

AND, she’s had good skin before IQQU — she’ll have good skin after IQQU. FYI.

Okay, some people are asking some ignorant questions.

Incase you didn’t know, EVERYTHING you put on your SKIN gets absorbed INTO your BODY. Okay… its not like you put something on it just stays on top. It gets absorbed. Yes, it can get absorbed into your CELLS. We’re not made out of plastic with cells underneath. Everything we are are CELLS. So things you put on your skin can get absorbed into them because skin is made out of them…

Serums are the best types of products for ABSORPTION. Yes, scientists have made products that absorb into the skin to promote cellular health. I don’t think we have found a way to make a serum target a specific gene or anything, though.

  22. Picachu says:
    November 16, 2009 at 12:57 pm

Yes, I know. That’s the basic function that all skincare products work. But in order to REPAIR DNA, they require a lot of signal cues inside your body. Not a layer of skincare products can activate the mechanism.

As I stated above, it might help to reduce scars a lot, but I don’t believe it REPAIR your DNA…

And btw, pls don’t think I’m her hater. Thanx

  23. concerned citizen says:
    November 16, 2009 at 1:56 pm

Hey you guys, seriously if you’re skeptical about the product don’t go hating about it.
why not just wait for people eager to try the product to give out a review.
Michelle’s point is that it is truly good for the skin. DNA or no DNA, she believes it improves the skin. so why not just wait for the reviews and try it out yourself.
if you’re still gona go on hating about it before trying for yourself, then DON’T try it. Keep your comments to yourself since you would have NO IDEA what you’re talking about without the first-hand experience.

Thanks for sharing this. You can from the Optigenex website, who formulate, license and market their own patented, all-natural cellular DNA care ingredient known as AC-11® (formerly called C-Med-100®).

As for costs, I’m guessing your serum would cost around $125. But for whatever it’s worth to an individual and their skin, if a product delivers, people will buy it.

  25. tinaturner says:
    November 16, 2009 at 4:01 pm

Just because people are sharing their concerns doesnt mean they are haters. We are allowed to doubt others without trying the product to be able to say anything.

So no need to be calling EVERYONE who isnt raving about her new products a hater

READ WHAT SHE WROTE..C-A-R-E-F-U-L-L-Y she only wrote that this formula can repair AC-11 which is PART of a dna. and this isnt new either, in korea, they released this similar kind of thing from SK II i think.

before i say anything, i love michelle. she is truly talented and hard-working and i love her tutorials and her products. but i have to agree with some of the commenters here. there is absolutely no product in this world that can repair DNA. because seriously, if DNA can be repaired, i am pretty sure there will be some outstanding progress in finding a cure for the incurable illnesses. ac-11 is a compound that people believe that will repair the DNA that is involved in the aging process. so to lina, i think you misread michelle’s post: AC-11 is NOT part of DNA, AC-11 is the supposed “key” to repair the DNA damage.
to be honest with you, since AC-11 is actually a natural supplement, i think it is supposed to prevent, not cure. AC-11 is, i believe, an antioxidant, like green tea and pomegranates that fight free radicals.
so michelle, i love you and all but be careful of possible false advertising!

It’s so bad when I just discuss about it and people keep thinking that I hate it.. or I am a hater. I can not hate some thing when I haven’t used it yet.

    End of story here..

But anyway, I do believe in the effective results of serum, not in the way to repair DNA though. The only thing is…. serum is always expensive. I remember one time I suddenly got some kind of allergic on my face the day before my flight from France to the U.S… And just by using the hypoallergenic serum and its cleansing milk of L’occitane, it took me less than two days to get rid of it. I was really amazed at that time. But it’s expensive though for a student like me so only use it when I experience some problems on my skin lol….

By the way, I’m really looking forward to seeing your new eye shadows, Michelle. I believe u can make really great ones….

oh, and forgot to mention but I’m currently using that Advanced Night Repair Serum and it really helped my skin. I got pores, acne, and oily skin but after using this product for a month, it changed my whole skin tone, feels like I got a new skin. Pores are much smaller, my face isn’t oily but feels super moisturized.

I know, people might not believe what I say.
But before you make any assumptions, I want you guys to try this product and see it for yourself. It really works.

So I’m sure whatever product that Michelle is talking about does a similar thing. It probably works like magic. :]

My friend uses skin caviar by a Swiss brand called La Prairie.

    http://www.beautique.com/product/La_Prairie/La_Prairie_Skin_Caviar.aspx

One pot of skin caviar costs £100+. I don’t know if the product works or not. She’s been using the product for 3 years but I see no major improvements whatsoever. You would think after 3 years you would see at least a little improvement?

Expensive doesn’t always mean that it works. Indeed it will have a set of complex ingredients but whether it will do what the labels says then I’m not so sure.
Suppose I will have to try the product myself before making assumptions.
But there is no way I could spend that amount of money on skincare. Anything past £30 is pushing it a little.

THANK GOD some ppl are smart enough to doubt the validity of your claims and your products.

@dottywine –> please look over your statements before calling ppl ignorant. yes we’re made of cells. yes our cells absorb things. HOWEVER, we have what is called a semi-permeable cellular membrane. anyone with a high school knowledge of biology will know this. just because we put something on our skin doesn’t mean that the materials in it will be incorporated into the metabolism of the cell. i.e. collagen CANNOT be absorbed through the skin…it is too large of a molecule.

personally i don’t believe any of this crap she writes about IQQU. i really like her makeup tutorials and all, but anyone who has the slightest bit of knowledge about skincare can take one look at her skincare products and know that they are equal to, if not worst than, drugstore products. and it makes me really angry that even though she herself claims that she is “honest” and “willing to learn,” when people tell her how lacking her skincare products are she gets all personally offended. seriously girl, we’re just trying to help you improve. your sunscreen sucks, period. stop using it or ppl will have to stare at your eye wrinkles in a few years.
check http://www.makeupalley.com for much more info about better quality products, as well as really helpful ppl who will give you honest opinions.

anyway, best of luck to you, although i really don’t see the logic behind all of your success. please know that your mediocre products are only successful because of your devoted fans…how does it make you feel knowing that you’re cheating them by not only overcharging your products but also by providing them with subpar formulations? your apt, your car, your first class trips, and the shopping you’ve done…they’re all paid for by the devotion of your fans. yes you’re talents, but not THAT talented…therefore your success confuses many ppl. i will continue to watch your makeup tutorials because they’re awesome, but i and many other ppl will also roll eyes at your so called skincare-knowledge. i wonder if you’ll still be around in a few years.

btw, please don’t ever compare sunscreen to the windows on a house and baseballs to the sun’s rays…seriously wtf is that.

  42. me says:
    November 18, 2009 at 4:31 am

Because Michelle, like many companies, censor’s the reviews on iqqu’s site. She should really just drop her facade. Its not going to help her in the long run.

  43. lonelily says:
    November 18, 2009 at 9:38 am

The bickering back and forth on her comments are ridiculous! If you have a problem with the way Michelle does things/lives her life, etc. Then simply stop coming here, simple as that! BTW getting a life of your own might help also.

Did you guys also know that EVERY ONES skin is different? Just because a skincare product doesnt work for one person doesnt mean it wont work for another. Just because a skincare product causes someone to breakout, doesnt mean it will cause everyone to break out. Just because a product leaves a certain impression on someone, doesnt mean everyone else should be forced to believe it will be the same way for them. I never tried iQQU YET, but i can honestly say, there are alot of trolls out to ruin successful people (i.e., makeup alley and so on)..how do you know the negative reviews arent just one person creating a bunch of new accounts? YOU DONT.

also people are complaining about the price of her skincare line. Well did you know, you can buy ALL of the products on iQQU’s site, for the price of 1 high end skincare product (such as la mer..). I dont think alot of you understand what all goes into formulating this kind of stuff! And yeah- drugstore things are cheap cause half of them dont work. ALL of the drugstore skincare has harmful chemicals and shit. Their main focus is to draw you in with the packaging, they dont really care what goes on your skin. I mean, after years of use if could actually do the opposite of what you are using it for. So i would feel alot safer knowing i am putting a carefully developed serum, cream, etc on my face then that.

I think its great how rude gay people go online and bash Michelle, yet she doesnt let that discourage her! Shes lot tougher then i am. The first negative heartless post i would see about myself, i would just delete everything and pretend i never exsited LOL.

Thank you Michelle for being helpful and useful! I learn alot, and trust your advice, products.

I’m the person who had the comment talking about Ca-11 above.
Well, first of all, pardon me but I don’t say anything about her products. I haven’t used any of her products so why bother I said bad things about them huh? What I said is just Ca-11 is unable to repair DNA itself. I don’t say whether it can help your skin better or not. Not everything is a miracle. and you yourself should be the one who know your skin most and get the best solution for your skin.

The thing that I read her blog because I’m a big fan of her videos. She’s a great person but that doesn’t mean I had to shut my mouth when talking about Ca-11.
