Hi everyone,

This trick may have you feeling awkward at the pharmacy checkout counter, but I promise you’ll be glad you bought this little tube of magic after a night without enough sleep!

Two words: hemorrhoid cream.

When applied to your under eye area, hemorrhoid cream can help reduce puffiness. But how, you ask? It contains an active ingredient (phenylerine HCl, thanks @fifi8926!) that works as a vasoconstrictor, which means it helps constrict blood vessels and thereby shrinks hemorrhoids, or in this case, under-eye bags!

This is an old-fashioned trick, used as a quick-fix for models who would show up 15 minutes before a runway show with baggy eyes.

Have you ever tried this on your own tired eyes? Let me know in the comment section below.

P.S. Don't forget that baggy eyes can be hot! So feel free to ignore this tip if you like the way under-eye puffiness makes your face look. :)

Although it's not the best solution... it works in a once a blue moon. If you've got a prom or a wedding and you honestly didn't get enough sleep, you better hope that you can sacrifice one day of dry eyes and hope that you'll take care of yourself better. It does work

Not all hemorrhoid creams have steroids in them... but it is still *not* a good idea to use them under your eyes. If the cream does have steroids, then it is 100000x worse to apply it around the eye area :C

ill stick with the tea bags thanks girls for you opinions!:D

yeah i asked my mom whos a nurse and she said that its bad for your eyes. you could exactly make little oil bumps under your eye.

im going to have to try this! i have bags under my eyes and i have to pack on the concealer to get rid of it and its annoying, thanks for the tip :)

doesn't sound safe but i guess its for an emergency...

i am thinking if asian eyelid surgery can do the trick? i mean the this surgery angles slightly up and outward into an existing laugh line. The skin above the incision is gently pinched while the eyes are closed to determine the maximum amount of skin that can safely be removed without pulling up on the upper eyelid margin or down on the brow.

just curious. smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif

Omg, Michelle, you are a genius. I have bags under my eyes when I pull an all-nighter with my cousins, (to see who falls asleep first.) and I think that the cream will help my eyes feel better, and also look better. <3 Cass c:
