In a unique response to what she calls “the big eye obsession," Soomi Park created a set of crazy light-up lashes that are designed to open up smaller eye shapes.
Using a mercury device that senses inclination attached to an earpiece, Park’s battery-powered lashes react to eye and head movement and flicker accordingly.
The lashes rest under the wearer’s lower lash line and light up like tiny twinkle lights!
This video from Soomi Park includes more information on the contraption and shows how it responds to movement:
In the video, the models are shown wearing the lashes about town in everyday outfits, but I think they’d be a fun addition to a costume or New Years outfit!
What do you think about these crazy LED lashes? Would you wear them? And if so, how?
nice those are pretty cool. i imagine that yes it would take some getting use to but think of the possibilities.@.@ ahhhh.... wonderful dreamy thoughts cruzin my head lol. i think they would prolly b easier to deal with if the led lights were slightly smaller and on the top lashes vs. the lower, but thats just me
I think it looks really cool, but it looked prettier when the lights were off (when it only was little white dots, cute)! I wouldn't wear it though cause I think the lights would annoy my eyes, but I'm sure Lady Gaga or some other creative celebrity will catch up on this trend and make it more extreme :P
I actually LOVE those! I think they'd be very cool! Michelle's right, with everyone seeing new makeup options like glow-in-the-dark and LED's I think these will really catch on in the future. I think they'd be awesome to have!
