I confess. I’ve been extremely uninspired to update. I was speaking to someone today who was asking why I hadn’t blog as much.
“Well I twitter and facebook daily, blogging just takes so much out of you”.
“Blogging is your origin, you came from the world of blogging. Don’t forget your roots Michelle”.
So inspired to blog yet again, here I am. I must admit, twitter really does spoil the fun out of blogging because it’s so instant, but blogging is so intimate and I am not limited by a few hundred characters.
My adventures has taken me to new heights. If you did not read, I am the new spokesperson and video makeup artist for Lancome. Not only is this exciting, but extremely ironic because I interviewed to work at a Lancome Counter 3 years ago. I remember that day as if it was yesterday. I’ll write that up another day.
Here is my first video with Lancome. I love the fact that they let me do whatever I want, no restrictions, all artistic freedom is pretty sweeeeeet.

I have to get ready to do a show, makeup for the Chris Benz show. I’m super excited because we’re doing a goth look on the models. I’m gonna insert some fangs on them too and turn them into sexy vampires!

I have been a youtube/twitter follower for a long long long time now. I love your style and professional tone when you do videos. Undoubtedly you know of the “haters” on the internet who dislike beauty gurus. I disagree with them because a lot of them are making unfounded accusations.
I read an online newspaper article about you, how you had a poor upbringing and how you pursued art as it was your dream and how everything in life seems to have turned around for you. I’m glad, as it makes my heart feel warm to hear/read about stories like this.
However, spending lots of money on clothes, shoes and make-up is sending out a really bad impression to your followers. I’m sure many many many of them look up to you for make-up and fashion advice. Sometimes it’s true that you have to spend some money and invest in something, and it’ll last a long time, but it looks like your life has been taken over by materialistic wants
At the end of the day, material things won’t make us truly happy, and we see all around the world the negative effects that mass consumerism is having.
The grass is always greener on the other side and there are always things that we will want in life, but to be truly happy in life is to truly accept everything you have already, without the need for wanting anything more.
I don’t want to seem like I am being rude or condescending: if you read this and feel that way, please know that it wasn’t my intention to seem like that.

So, I’ve been checking out your blog now a several times and done a few of your makeuplooks. But usually it’s quite difficult to get it right and perfect look like it you do because, ofcourse I have the horrible skin that is every teenagers nightmare!!! And I can’t afford to get all those different brushes and makeup…However, last week I ordered something over the internet that’s called Proactive..I hope that it’ll work cuz I’ve had this hirrible skin for almost 5 years!
Aaaanyways, thankyou for having this blog and for giving lots of girls aroung the world tips and suggestions for different looks and styles! =D

*SIGHS* Michelle, what happened to your promise to blog more often? Ever since you’ve posted that entry, I’ve been checking everyday to see if you posted a new entry. As days passed, weeks passed, then months passed, I’ve concluded that you probably won’t be coming back. Is that guilt you once said still lurking somewhere inside you or are you unsympathetic to your (once) blogging fans? Just something to think about, Michelle. Also, I was excited when you introduced your charity channel that claimed there’d be hauls, reviews, and other random vlogs and such but I guess that’s another unsuccessful project. You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for making make up fun and interesting. I happy that you are still developing and furthering your career. Keep at it! I don’t think you’re materialistic at all. Even if you were, who cares? Most people go out and buy ice cream when they’ve had a bad day. It is whatever makes you feel better about yourself. All of your tutorials emcompass what women have been doing for years which is accentuating their features. If that somehow translates to young girls that you can’t look nice or presentable without all of these nice clothes and make up products, that is a product of poor parental upbringing and social engineering. You’re just trying to help people. You’re an artist. The styles you create are unique and add balance and harmony to your clients. I hope you continue to have a bright future.

I have never been big on make – up since I was so not knowledgeable on putting on make up. But since I started going through your amazing tutorials, it was not so bad after all. It just takes practice. Not only does it allow me to experiment with different looks, it is very informative. Thanks for your awesome videos. I just love how it relate to me in so many ways.

Hey Michelle, I was sitting with my daughter, 13, the other day and happen to come across your videos on YouTube
so I decided to give a few of you tutorials a try. Started with the asprin mask followed by the rice water toner, and I have to say my skin feels great! I’m only on the second day too, 
but im hooked. With the economy the way it is, it’s great to find inexpensive skin care tips that work. Do you have any tip for circles? Mine arent too bad but I know theyre there and the bug me to pieces. Anyway, I’m definitely a new fan and hope you dont give up on the blogging
