Wow, I finally got my rest. 20 hours flight from Florida to San Fran to Hong Kong is not fun (I loath flying…period), but I survived. I got situated at my hotel, but I could not sleep. My internal clock is all sorts of fugged up. Instead I just took photos and waited for my friend to arrive in Hong Kong. I went out sight seeing and there is so much shopping. Ironically I am in no mood to shop (I outshop myself to death whenever I visit New York) , but hopefully I will soon because the prices are not so bad (but not as cheap as I expected). I’ll try and update from time to time. I cannot wait to get home and see my baby, Mr. Bun Bun…

I also decided to cut my bangs before my trip. I used kitchen shears, but hey, it works!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday…or err…Tuesday for me.
Cheers
Kindly,
-M

urgh, i’ve been on 30hrs plane rides to vietnam, i know the feeling, hallelujah! you’re finally off that plane haha hope you’ll have fun, Hong Kong is a damn good place to shop, very interesting things there. And also, love your eye-makeup in the last pic.
haha, you look so edgy.
it looks beautiful…I’m jealous! I had a friend who flew to Hong Kong for her sister’s birthday, and she said she hated it, teehee. Is it crowded?

Love you Michelle! See you on COD when you get back.
Enjoy your trip! Stay safe! xoxo
rest more there!
be carful w/ you bag, close it or zip it, keep it close to you. Don’t get picked-pocketed….
Hi Michelle!
20 hours is a long time to be on a plane. :O But I hope you’ll be able to make the most of your trip. I usually feel fine on the first day and then the time difference starts kicking in…but you should definitely hit up the “famous” place to eat and shop in MK, and several other names which I don’t know the english name to! That’s the center of the a lot of things.
I want to visit HK too, and ditch school…haha, but the last time I’ve been there is in the summer, which is pretty terrible humid and hot weather. So the time you’re going should be pretty ideal.
Remember to stay healthy! It’s much more easier to “catch” something in places like HK since everyone’s in such close proximity with one another.
Also, totally random, but I really adore your hair color in these pictures! Can you talk about what type of hair dye/process you use to dye your hair to such a color? It’s hard for me to get a nice, light color. Thank you!
Have fun! Stay safe and healthy!
You make me miss HK….I’m currently in UK
remember to have more dim sum in HK!! ^^”
You’re bangs look so good on you! I have been missing my bangs, bit I get nervous about cutting them. Have a blast in Hong Kong! I look forward to seeing more pics and hearing about what you did!
~Julia R.
i know what you mean! i went from ny to cali to japan to hk…long ride indeed, but you got first class right? haha so it’s probably not so bad for you. hk has these 2 areas that is made for shopping, but only for cheap things. i remember one is called lady street (I directly translated it from chinese). and since you love beauty products, sasa is like the sephora of hk or chinese ppl in general i guess.
anyway, hk is not that cheap to me. china definitely is though. remember to get lots of cosplay and accessories! that is my main goal if i ever visit hk or china again
your new bang soooo pretty! it looks so fresh =D hope you can have a good rest!
Hv Fun!
Who’s taking care of Mr. Bun Bun?
i hope you have fun in hong kong! i definitely miss and and want to go back .
wow! you look so good with your bangs. And i like the eye make-up! Enjoy your stay in Hongkong Michelle…. Lav yah!
Really wanna meet u in HK~~~Hope u enjoy ur visit!
Welcome to HK
It’s so hard to believe we are at the same place XD
hope you will enjoy this trip><
God speed and have safe trip back…OMG whose bunny sitting!
I love your bangs! You look just gorgeous, as always!
Have fun in Hong Kong! I’ll miss your videos while you’re away, though…
i remember when you used to have a tutorial for cutting your bangs on xanga
twist… and cut!
Welcome to Hong Kong!! Your hotel seems near by my working place at Wan Chai!! I hope I can see you during lunch time, hahaha
Hi Michelle! Since you are in Hong Kong, why not try those fancy asian skin products~~ from Japan, Korea, Taiwan…..and maybe do some review later =p….Have fun and best wishes!!!
OK if you wanna do some cheap shopping and see stuff…MongKok is the place to go! The famous spot in Mongkok is called ‘The Ladies’ Market’ which opens from noon to midnight. Bargaining is a must there. Sellers try to set prices really high but if you have good bargaining skill, you can end up saving half! Well…many fake label bags and clothes there lol and Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) will allow you to indugle yourself in ‘brand name’ label shopping! Have fun! And I read that you are charged US$60 per hour for the internet? It is totally insane. HK has free wifi in many places…cafes, big shopping malls, MTR and even some buses!
Oh man, they look great! I used craft scissors on mine
love the make up … wow 20hours on a plane i won’t last hahaha .. the longest i’ve been on a plane is 7hours on my way to philippines hahaha … thanks god it’s not far from where i am =P ehehe …
Hey Michelle! Vacationing over in HK? That’s great! By the way, love the hair color, what specific brown shade is it?
Good morning/ afternoon/ evening, Michelle,
I wish this greeting message from Hong Kong can reach you too.
I am your great fan since I first came to watch your beauty tutorials. Your sharing about beauty and art is elegant, graceful, to say the least…
I’d like to take this opportunity to present some brief information about the city to you. It is at the bottom of this message. If that would in any way facilitate your trip in the city, that would be my great pleasure.
Though I did not have the opportunity to read all, from your previous xanga I understand that you love to learn and try out things by yourself, I guess you might want to explore and adventure in the city without a guide, like a brave and independent lady. Just please try to pay some attention to security and hygienic issues in some downtown areas. Some parts may be a bit disappointingly dirty and even scary but avoiding those there is not much of a problem.
It would be my great honour and pleasure to present a gift to you. Learning that you would be in Cosmoprof Asia 2009, I would very much like to try my best to meet and greet you there. I was a translator there years before.
I hope you have cool fun and would enjoy the trip to Hong Kong! Hong Kong is so honoured to have your visit.

Brief presentation:
Nice food – there are Chinese or any other countries’ cuisine in chic and stylish restaurants in Wanchai/ Central/ Admiralty or popular restaurants in TST/ Mongkok/ Causeway Bay. There are ramen restaurants in every districts. In Hong Kong, seafood restaurants are in Lei Yue Mun (the nearest access is from Yau Tong MTRC station) and Sai Kung. People can actually pick the seafood fresh on the spot and the restaurants would prepare the dishes.
Some nice places – there are beautiful beaches in Repulse Bay and Stanley. Stanley is also a nice attraction and market place. The Ocean Park is one of the most beautiful theme parks. There are dolphins there. At night, Lan Kwai Fong in Central is one of the best hang-out places in the city where there are bars and restaurants. Also, at the Peak the whole city can be viewed from the top.
Nice shopping – on Hong Kong Island side, the most prominent shopping places can be found in Central, Wanchai, Admiralty, CWB, etc. On Kowloon side, shopping places are in TST, Mongkok. There is a bazaar-like place in Mongkok called “woman street”. In Mongkok there is also a gigantic shopping mall, the Langham Place. In case of buying something in a supermarket, city’super located in Central, TST, Causeway Bay and Shatin would offer a great variety. (Sorry if that sounds that an ad.)
Transport – the mass transit (MTRC) is the most convenient and commonest transport means that can virtually visit every part of the city. It is even more convenient than driving since there is no traffic conjestion. Just it may be too crowded in busy hours.
Please excuse me that the list is not exhaustive.
Please have very nice time.

Good morning/ afternoon/ evening, Michelle,
this is Lester who tried to send a greeting message from Hong Kong.
I was so sorry for the duplication as I hit the button twice.
Please have very nice time.
Hey, wellcome to Hong Kong!!! If you really wanna do some bargain shopping, u should goto Fa Yuen St. @ Prince Edward (Catch the MTR and get off @ Prince Edward Station – Exit B1) or ask your hotel front desk for direction or maybe catch a taxi.
Next to Fa Yuen Street, there are Gold-Fish Market (more like pet market) and a Flower Market within walking distant. Be expect with over crowded people and also, keep your bag close to you.
Happy shopping and have fun.
