First Wordpress Entry Impromptu

Ok, I’ll admit…the reason why I have not updated in ages is because…WORDPRESS IS FREAKING HARD TO USE. I’ve been so spoiled from Xanga, with the simplicity and watered down ease of blogging. Wordpress feels more like rocket science to me. Regardless, I have not left the blogging world. I simply took a long hiatus to find inspiration and time to blog. Yes I needed time. I was in the middle of moving and working on my business. Now that everything has settled down a bit, I can play around and figure out how this thing works.

I am also improvising this entry as I write, so bear with me as I try and make sense from this.

I recently moved, and the first few days I was furnitureless. Living in a furnished villa throughout my college years rendered me from acquiring my own pieces. So I happily slept on the floor with the remaining pillow I salvaged and my plushie to keep me company.

Speaking of company, I adopted Mr. Bun Bun, so I will be taking care of him now =) I don’t have Mia anymore, so I needed to find a softy cuddly creature to love! Mia already has a loving owner and I could not take her with me =( The Villa where I use to live included Mia, and she’s still living there…sigh…I’ll miss her making cameos in my videos.

Please, welcome Mr. Bun Bun. He needs extra love because he was living with a bunch of cats, and has grown fond of cat food. He refuses to eat anything else. Is that unhealthy for a rabbit to eat cat food? I would assume so. I bought fresh carrots, veggies and hay. He is slowly attempting to eat his native food. Bun Bun loves to watch TV, Family Guy this most!  I think he has a thing for Meg.

If you have any tips on taking care of a bunny, please do let me know! I would much appreciate that.

I’ve been going broke these past two months. Buying new furniture, couches, mattresses, electronics, TV, computer and more. It can all add up. I looked at all my receipts from the past few weeks and nearly passed out.

I’m still seeking for the perfect dining table. Crates and Barrel carries beautiful sets, but they’re so expensive! I’m eating on cardboard boxes right now haha. No shame my friend.

I’ve also been obsessed with purchasing art pieces for my home.

20 minutes ago from writing this entry, I purchased these pieces.

I bought 2 sets of this real cool sculpture wall art. I wanted to paint something, but I literally have no time. Instead of buying a cheesy print (sorry to those who own a few), I decided on a 3 dimensional wall piece. It adds that extra substance to my living room.  I opted on abstract because it leaves the viewers open to creating their own representation of the piece.

I also got this sweet rectangle abstract piece for my dining room. Beats the usual wine paintings right?

Ok, I’m going to finish this entry off. I’m going to reorganize my blog and relocate all my previous entries to the correct categories. That will take a good week or two.

I’m off to Hong Kong this weekend for work and leisure. I’m excited to try out authentic chinese food. I’m flying first class suite on Singapore airlines. I heard amazing things about it so I’m excited! For the hefty price, the experience better be out of this world! Haha.

You get your own private section. Besides the usual peanuts, you get world class gourmet meals prepared by chefs and as many glasses of Dom Perrier champagne, which I will gladly take because I loath flying.

And it magically turns into a bed. I wish Mr. Bun Bun could accompany me…unfortunatly he is not found of the air either.

You will definately see a beauty tutorial for this.

I’m going to head back to work (yes I work at practically every hour, but it pays off!) . I hope you enjoyed this…impromptu entry, I promise to play around with Wordpress more because I absolutely missed blogging. I’ve been going through withdrawals and rocking back and forth in corner.

I leave you with Mr. Bun Bun and yours truly. P.S excuse my makeup, I was playing aroung with IQQU’s new eyeshadows. It’s not out yet, I’m finalizing the formula to make sure it’s perfect!

Kindly,

Michelle

Hey girl! Glad to see you back! I’m with you on Wordpress. Not the most relaxing blogging experience. For bun bun, watch the fresh veggies. Too much isn’t good. Fresh kale one a day, fresh hay and a good pellet will keep his system moving well and make him happier and more energetic. We use oxbow brand products for our chinchillas and small animals. Check them out by googling them. There’s lots of information to help you out. They’re pricier then other foods but well worth it.
Good luck with the new place. Wall art looks fab! Take care in Hong Kong.
And still lmao about the rocking in the corner comment. Lol

YESSSS I always insist on flying SQ if I can help it. Nationalistic pride + comfort + all the stewardesses are pretty = I don’t have to look at big fat old women they have on United flights.

I really don’t think that cat food is good for your bunny, I don’t think they can process foods with fat. Just feed him a small amount of pellets and plenty of hay and fresh veges. Fruit is ok too but not too much as it has a lot of sugar in it i.e. apples. Have a look at this site if you need more info, the site may not look so good but the information is very useful: http://www.rabbit.org/

Hi! Welcome again to blogging! I have a bunny too and I can honestly say they are like dogs. You have to win their respect and pass time with them. Mine gets sleep while I’m touching her head, for example. And about food… Well, I don’t know how expensive is there the fruits, but here, in Spain, are affordable, so we give her carrots, pears, peaches or banans(that at least my bunny loves). You shouldn’t give them a lot of fruits, nor a complete piece, just a bit about 2 or 3 times a week. If you overfeed them with fruits or vegetables, then they’ll have a little bit o diarrhea, and we do not want that!!!!
About hay… IS TOO IMPORTANT!!!! because this will make your bunny has a good digestion (about eat its own excrement… That’s something normal^^ Bunnies must do this or can die, so don’t worry) and, also, with this they can even make their own warren, which I think is lovely!
I don’t know if you want to know something more about bunnies, but if you do, just ask!

Congratulations for your excelent work and your amazing videos!

P.D. I’d like to ask you some questions…. But have no reply :(

Anyway….. I wish you the best from Spain!

Yay, a blog from Michelle. That airline suite looks absolutely .. may I say… GANGSTA! XD Good luck with work and everything, you deserve the best! I can’t wait to read more entries from you. Take care, Michelle! I’ve always been a fan of you since Xanga. I was there when fashion confused you and Cakalusa made a mock entry of you. Good times.. Now seeing you here in this position amazes me. Be the best you can be and don’t let anything negative get to ya, gurlfran! Toodles!

HEY! i have a bunny that looks just like that except a lot older
I’ve had her for at least 7 years now
Some bunny tips I would give you are:

    1. Don’t feed them too many carrots
carrots are like candy for rabbits

    2. being asian my mom likes to feed my rabbit a bunch of asian vegetables
I don’t know what theyre called in english but its only greens that we feed her
(green leafed vegetables are fine to feed to rabbits, just not too much because it makes them pee a lot)

    3. I trained my rabbit to run back to her cage when she needs to poo or pee
when you let your rabbit out to play and you see him or her poop, just pick her up and leave her in the cage for the rest of the day
eventually they’ll learn that thats their punishment
now my rabbit walks around freely in my house like a dog :)

    4. rabbits love when you pet their heads :)

    5. Play with your rabbit a lot!
if you ever see your rabbit do a strange jump,
it kind of looks like they have turrets syndrome, but don’t worry its good
its called a Binky when they jump like that
and it means theyre really happy
just youtube it if yo uwanna see examples of the jump

    5. don’t pull their tails– it makes them pee when you do

well hope you have fun with your new bunny :3

Welcome back to the blogging world. I know what you mean about Wordpress. Ive got a WP blog and until today its still so difficult to understand, I agree with you about xanga being simple and easy to use i just wish xanga could upgrade the site. A rabbit that eats cat food huh thats a first for me to hear hehehehe i look forward to reading more of your tutorials. Hope you’ll have a safe journey, a good relaxation and retail therapy at HK. SIA flights I heard are awesome whether its first business or economy. ive never tried them but many friends vouch for it.

Please don’t feed too many carrots. There are a lot of leafy greens bunnies love to eat. His diet should also be balanced with tons of HAY (only Timothy for adults NOT alfalfa!) as another commenter noted and a good quality pellet low in calcium (causes stones). I use Timothy Pellets for adult rabbits.

Here is a fantastic site to visit for more info or questions. It is a forum all about bunnies and there are TONS of advice for bunny health as well as funny quirks to read about other bunnies or just to learn more about your own bunnies weird habits and of course you can share pictures of your adorable bunny or look at some others!

I found it a saviour during my first months of bunny mommyhood.

    http://www.binkybunny.com

If you take care of Mr. Bunbun you will find bunnies to be very similar to kitties! They have tons of personality but you do have to coax it out of them :)

Enjoy being a bunny mommy! I know you will take good care of him because you seem to be an animal lover!

Good luck with settling @ the new house, it is so exciting to be someplace new but I know how stressful it can be.

If you want a cool/nice dining table have you considered craigslist? Some people sell some really unique stuff w/ lots of personality. Something you could probably never find at a store (or at least not for that price).

It’s good to have you back!

Aww, I have a bunny too. His name is Digby! I can’t believe you can’t bring Mia with you. :( I am sure she misses you lots.

Cat food? !! ack! Cat food has ALOT of protein in it and bunnies can’t really digest protein that well. Make sure his diet is super high in fiber. You should also introduce him to timonthy hay pellets. 1/4 to 1/2 cup a day of that along with the fresh high fiber veggies and hay should be good. Hey, didn’t you have a bunny prior to this? I thought you did when you were still blogging in Xanga many moons ago.

Aww that’s so cute that your bunny can go to bed with you. My bunny refuses to let me pick him up. He’s terrified! He was never really handled the first year of his life because he was bred in a farm for the sole purpose of producing rabbit hair. :T Do you have any tips on how I can get my bunny used to me handling him? I’ve been googling this forever, but rabbits are so fragile! I am afraid to hurt him. Sometimes they can get so scared that they’ll do anything in their ability (including hurting themselves and breaking their spine) to avoid getting feeling like they are “caught”.

Hi there! First time to leave a message for you.

I had a bunny some years ago, her name was Agu. Fresh veggie and timonthy hay are the best for bunnies. their stool is the signal of their health, so you should keep a close eye on that. I can’t imagine a bunny eating cat food… hope he will switch to his native food. Anyway, he’s fortunate to have you to be his owner, hope he will show up more in your videos :)

Have a wonderful trip to HK!

    hey hello, Michelle :)
i owned a bunny too. but bunny is easy to be sick :(

also, you may let her run around the house otherwise she will be unhappy
hahaha but be carefull her mass :)

hihi! I have a bunny too! However, she’s not as cuddly as Mr. Bun bun :(

Bunnies need lots of love and lots of room to play haha, which I’m sure you can provide endlessly :P . They also need lots of hay, and always have pellets available for them to eat. Fresh veggies and carrots are great for them, keep a small bowl of pellets (buy the ones without all the fatty stuff, like the corn and stuff. they tend to just pick out those which is bad for them) available all the time because bunnies eat a lot. Also, have hay always available. They love hay, and hay is good for them because it cleans their intestines.

Be careful of your wires! My bunny chewed through my boyfriends wires >< some don't like to do it so they just don't haha.

Have fun in HK! and so glad you're blogging :D

Oh dear, I’ve heard notorious things about HK. Sure, it’s so amazing and such, but I’m sure you’ll see the prevalent obsession with THINNESS. Michelle, I hope you’re a size 00 (0 may be pushing it, since it IS Hong Kong)…..

Can you tell I highly disapprove of these Asian standards of beauty? (e.g. the insane thinness level…)

  27. Kimberley says:
    November 4, 2009 at 12:28 pm

Actually, as much as you see bugs bunny on tv munching on carrots, carrots are actually not good for rabbits…. that’s one of the biggest issues for rabbit owners… many feed them carrots which is not advised by any vet.

carrots are full of sugar which can lead to fattening. green leaf lettuce and romaine lettuce are the only two kinds of lettuces that you can feed to your rabbit – others such as iceberg are not nutritional. You can feed your rabbit sprouts, broccoli, spinach, hay, oranges, plums, bananas peppermint leaves, celery to name a few….

Greens hear and there and natural sweets like bananas, mangos, papaya are ok for once in a while. get pellets from feed stores too, the ones in the pets stores are like hamburgers and they will get super “squishy”

My bunny LOVED chewing on toilet paper or paper towel rolls (or any cardboard-y/paper-y sort of things). Paper/cardboard is safe for bunnies to ingest.

You can stuff the tubes with hay and this makes a really good toy. Sometime I’d stick a treat, like a few raisins or apple pieces, deep in the center of hay tubes.

Really, you can give your bunny all your junk mail, magazines, catalogs, old phone books to play with and let him “recycle” everything for you.

Hey Michelle, I think after you get use to Wordpress, you’ll LOVE it. I use to be on Xanga too but I love how you can customize EVERYTHING on Wordpress.

Your bunny is so cute! There’s a bunny epidemic where I live though… so many people buy them and abandon them, then they reproduce and now the area is filled with wild bunnies. It’s kinda sad because I think the city is killing them since there are just way too many now. =( Anyway, are you suppose to teach them to do their dirty work in a certain area or do they basically just go anywhere?
